On Thursday 17 October 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the prestigious setting of the Circolo Filologico Milanese, Professor Paul Ekman will open the 2013 Festival of Psychological Culture.
Paul Ekman is recognised worldwide as the psychologist who first theorised the universality of the facial manifestation of emotions, devising a unique model for interpreting emotional behaviour that brings together the study of facial micro-expressions, body language, voice and verbal content and style.
Over the last 30 years, Ekman has complemented his early research on emotions and their expression with in-depth studies on lying, with the aim of identifying the signals transmitted by our body to assess the credibility of our interlocutor.
The event is organised by OPL in collaboration with I&G Management, the Italian branch of Paul Ekman International, the company that disseminates the scientific and psychological theories and models studied by Paul Ekman.
OPL President Mauro Grimoldi and Diego Ingrassia, CEO and partner of I&G, will lead the discussion with Professor Ekman, retracing with him the most significant stages of his research.
Paul Ekman will also talk about the fascinating professional developments and specialisations that have arisen in recent years from the application of his methodologies in the psychological, emotional and behavioural fields.
Highly specialised programmes are now also accessible in Italy through exclusive certified training open to professionals who wish to become experts in the recognition and management of emotional experience, as well as the assessment of the credibility of interlocutors.
